Sean and Aaron
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page! We are both so excited for our future family and so grateful to you for considering us to be the parents of your child. While we are excited for the life we can provide a child we also believe that their history including the history of their birth parents is crucial to their growth and development. We look forward to creating a welcoming and open environment that includes you in whatever capacity you feel comfortable with. We understand this profile is just a glimpse at who we are as a family, however, we are an open book and welcome future conversations or meetings so you can learn more about us to help you make your decision!
We met and began dating in early 2016 after we both “swiped right” through a dating application. As our relationship began to grow and evolve, we shared many of life’s most significant milestones – graduating school, beginning careers, purchasing a home, and welcoming two dogs into our family. Spending time outside and being active has become an essential part of our lives together. We enjoy hiking and camping with our dogs as well as our immediate and extended families. This time we have together outside in nature allows us to connect with the important people in our lives. Our families are the foundation of us as individuals, as well as partners. Our time spent with our immediate and extended family brings us both so much joy and we try to see them as much as we can. After getting engaged in August of 2019, we decided to get legally married in the historic San Francisco Courthouse with our parents by our side before exchanging private vows in Paris, France. We love to travel and experience different cultures, so planning a European adventure and exchanging our vows in Paris represented who we are as a couple and how we want to navigate life’s future challenges and adventures; together.
Hi, I am Sean, I am 29 years old and was born and raised in Riverside, California. I am really passionate about spending time with family, getting out in nature, and trying new foods. I received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Loma Linda University and have been practicing as a registered nurse for 5 years. I currently practice in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and Kaiser Medical Center of Fontana caring for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. Not only am I passionate about my career and my role in my patient’s care, but I am grateful to work in a profession which is so flexible with scheduling which allows me to work my schedule around Aarons in a way that one of will always be with our future child, while also allowing for ample family time together.
Hello, my name is Aaron, I am 28 years old and while I was born in Port Angeles, Washington I grew up in Haymarket, Virginia before moving to California for graduate school in 2015. I love photography and being active so I constantly try to capture our time outside hiking, biking, and camping with my family and friends. I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences and provide rehabilitation services to individuals with neurologic conditions and injuries.
OUR FAMILY & HOME
We currently live in a nearly 100-year-old home in a historic tree lined neighborhood that is rich in diversity and community. From the moment we stepped into this home we could envision the sound of children running through the hallways and playing in the backyard and knew this was the place we wanted to put down roots. Each and every day we are amazed by the kindness and compassion we receive from our neighbors which is the exact environment we want to raise our child in. We both have strong family values which stems from our connection with our family members and their children. We are lucky to live a few minutes away from Sean’s family including his parents, sister and her three boys which allows us to see them on a weekly basis. Despite Aaron’s family being more dispersed across the west coast, we are able to spend time together both in person on family vacations or virtually with facetime and zoom including game nights and family cook offs. We look forward to sharing these memorable family events and adventures with our future child. Similarly, both of our families, both immediate and extended, are excited about the prospect of our growing family.
Long before we knew one another, we both knew we wanted to be parents. We wanted to experience all the joy and challenges that come with parenthood. In finding each other and growing our partnership, we have created a home filled with love, laughter, and compassion. We have been so lucky to be surrounded by supportive and caring family and friends, and we believe this support system will only strengthen our ability to be great parents. We have thoughtfully and carefully discussed our dreams of becoming parents including the path we wanted to take, and have consistently felt strongly that we were destined to adopt. We are excited about the prospect of having a child and experiencing a deeper and more meaningful version of our life together. We have so much love to give and cannot wait to share it with a child.
