Danny and Greg

Hello!

Thank you for visiting our profile. We’re sure that thinking about placing your baby for adoption is a big and difficult decision. We want you to know that although we can’t promise it will be easy, if you choose to place your baby with us, we will give him or her our unconditional love and work every day to provide a happy and loving home.

Since we first started dating in 2013, we have looked forward to raising children and building a family together. We hope you’ll spend a few moments taking a look at our profile and getting to know us better, and we hope to get to know you too.

A Little About Us

We live in a quiet neighborhood in Washington, D.C., called Brookland. We first met in 2009 while playing pickup football on the National Mall in front of the Washington Monument. We started dating a few years later and got married in October 2017. It was a wonderful day and it was so great to be able to celebrate with our loving family and friends.

We were both fortunate to grow up in close and supportive families. Danny was raised by his parents, Mary and Michael, in Bethesda, Maryland, along with his older brother, Ben. As a child, Danny and Ben spent summers at the beach on Block Island selling lemonade with cousins, and made frequent trips out to their aunt’s farm in rural Virginia where they learned to ride horses and catch tadpoles. After graduating from high school, he went to college in New York City and then went out to work in politics for several years before becoming an attorney.

Greg was raised by his parents, Sally and Don, in the small town of New Hartford near the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. He and his two older sisters, Katy and Sarah, had frequent family picnics and summer vacations to Cape Cod and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Greg grew up playing the piano and the bassoon and going to tennis lessons with his sisters. Greg went to college in Upstate, NY and moved to Washington, DC in 2003 to pursue a career as a project manager for an elevator company.

Our Home and Happiness

Our home is wonderfully situated in a diverse, family friendly neighborhood, a block away from a playground and recreation center, and a ten minute drive to the museums and parks in the center of Washington, D.C. When he’s not in the office, Danny can usually be found in their bountiful garden, tending to the grape vines, raspberry bushes, asparagus, blueberries, figs, and anything else growing that season. Although he no longer working in politics, he is still fascinated by the news and is involved in local community solar projects.

Greg enjoys playing the piano and staying on top of opportunities to see live performances of classical music in Washington, DC. He has been the captain of a competitive adult flag-football team, the DC Admirals, since 2011. The team travels 2-3 times annually to play in national tournaments, and Greg orchestrates weekly practices on a nearby field with his 20 teammates. Additionally, Greg is an active volunteer for the local flag football league and a music outreach non-profit.

Our six year old dog, Pokey, is a Shepherd/Fox Hound mix. She loves the fenced in yard, keeping the squirrels away from the vegetable garden and bird feeder, and is an all-around great companion.

Together, we love to travel both within the United States and internationally. We have been to England, Scotland, Turkey, and most recently to Costa Rica for our honeymoon. We actively cheer for the Washington Nationals and the Washington Capitals and go to several games each year together. We are really looking forward to experiencing all of the joys and laughter we get from our many hobbies through the eyes of a child.
